Icon Relocation achieves ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications after successful audit

22 May 2023 | Icon news, Sustainability

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications following a comprehensive external audit. These certifications are a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality management and environmental sustainability for the purpose of providing exceptional relocation services.

The certification process involved an extensive external audit conducted by LRQA, an independent certification body. The audit evaluated our systems, processes, and practices to ensure alignment with the stringent requirements set by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). The audit encompassed a thorough assessment of our quality management systems, customer satisfaction protocols, environmental policies, and sustainable practices.

The achievement of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications marks an important milestone for Icon Relocation and we are proud to be recognised for our dedication to quality management and sustainability. These certifications further inspire us to continue improving and innovating our relocation services, while prioritising the needs of our clients and the wellbeing of our planet.

What is ISO 9001?

ISO 9001 is an international standard of quality management and confirms Icon Relocation’s commitment to implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system. Throughout the audit process, we showcased our ability to consistently meet customer requirements, provide exceptional services, and continuously improve our operations in response to changing customer circumstances.

Among other things, our ISO 9001 certification focused on:

  • Our efficient case management processes which centre around MoveWise, our advanced proprietary case management system
  • Our excellent assignee and client feedback
  • Our investment in innovation in relocation. including our upcoming relocation app Cosee

We are proud to have received this certification, as it reinforces our focus on delivering excellence and exceeding customer expectations.

What is ISO 14001?

The ISO 14001 certification recognises dedication to minimising environmental impact and promoting sustainable business practices. By implementing an effective environmental management system, we have demonstrated our commitment to reducing waste, conserving resources, and operating in an environmentally responsible manner. This certification underscores our pledge to support a greener future and contribute positively to our planet’s wellbeing, including being certified carbon neutral for the second year running and an internal sustainability committee which oversees environmental issues.

Benefits to our clients

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications offer several key benefits to our clients and stakeholders:

  • Enhanced customer satisfaction: our certifications reflect our dedication to meeting and exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that our clients consistently receive first-rate relocation services
  • Cost-efficiency: ISO 9001 certification drives continuous improvement throughout our organisation, resulting in streamlined processes, improved efficiency, and passing on cost-savings to our clients
  • Sustainable practices: with ISO 14001 certification, our clients can trust that relocations are carried out with environmental responsibility in mind
  • Trust and credibility: the ISO certifications serve as internationally recognised symbols of excellence, providing our clients and stakeholders with increased confidence in our services, operations, and commitment to quality and sustainability

Our commitment to quality

The ISO certifications join a growing number of industry accreditations which reflect our commitment to quality services. ISO 9001 builds on our EuRA Quality Seal, which we have successfully held for 14 years — the longest of any relocation company in the UK.

As part our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have also been certified Carbon Neutral for two years running and are currently in the process of securing EcoVadis certification to join our Cyber Essentials accreditation.

As we move forward, we remain committed to maintaining these high standards, continually improving our processes, and seeking new ways to exceed our clients’ expectations. We are excited about the opportunities these new certifications bring and look forward to serving our clients with even greater excellence and sustainability in the future.
