I’m proud to have worked for over 30 years, and held leadership positions, in a largely male-dominated part of the industry. Working with exceptional talent and mentors has helped influence my approach to customer service and team management, and I really enjoy it.
As Director of Operations in move management I provide guidance to ensure that we’re clear on our priorities, make the right decisions, plan ahead, maintain attention to detail, and think creatively to ensure we deliver outstanding services on behalf of our clients.
I find it very rewarding to engage the team so that they develop and flourish, delivering the very best customer service and moving experience as a result. I lead by example and enjoy coaching individuals to voice their ideas, recognise their unique value, and achieve their best. It’s all about teamwork and working inclusively.
It’s also really important to remember that we are not just moving packages, we move people, with particular circumstances and needs. That’s why I’ve built a culture where we look to ask the right questions, have empathy, and understand how stressful moving can be. We are there to make a difference for the assignee and have a positive impact by delivering an attentive, exceptional service.
