UK Announces Changes to Non Dom Residency Status

The UK government has announced a surprise change to the country’s rules regarding the status of non-domiciled residents (non-doms).The Chancellor in his Budget speech this week revealed an end to the non-dom status of those who have lived in the UK for more than 15 of the last 20 years, as well as to those born in Britain to British parents but who have chosen to become non-doms after moving abroad.The measures combined could affect 15,000 individuals according to reports.
